Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 Onions diced
- 1.5 cups Celery diced
- 1 cup Carrots diced
- 1 Sweet pepper diced
- 1 half Green pepper diced
- 1 Serrano or Jalapeno (optional)
- 1 pound Ground turkey
- 3 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 2 tsp Oregano
- 2 tsp Ground cumin
- 4 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 19.7 oz Can of pinto beans with jalapenos (or without jalapenos)
- 1 14.5 oz Can of navy beans
- 1 14.5 oz Can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 4 oz Green chilies
- 2-3 Toasted and crushed chile ardobal
- 1 tbsp Toasted chile pasilla crushed
- 1 tbsp beef (better than bouillon paste)
- 1 cup Water
- 6oz V-8 Reg or spicy
Instructions
- Saute all the veggies with oil for about 5 -7 minutes
- add all the seasoning and stir fry for 2 minutes
- Add the ground turkey and cook it throughly
- Add the rest of the ingredients, bring to a boil, and then simmer for 20 minutes
- adding the ardobol and pasilla peppers are key to great flavor, bake them, toast them or brown them on the stove top until they are crispy but not burnts. Crush them up and add to the Chili. These are flavor bombs for the dish
